The Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane-starrer was not a hit during its initial release in 2016, however, it soon gained cult classic status among cinephiles. For context, the film earned Rs 16 crore during its initial run. Due to immense demand, makers decided to re-release the film and give the audience what they needed.
