New Delhi: Disney’s blockbuster hit, Mufasa: The Lion King, will make its debut on OTT after a successful theatrical run. The much-anticipated animated movie will reportedly start streaming in digital space in February 2025, but there’s a catch. According to Screenrant report, Disney has confirmed that the film will be released on video-on-demand first and will later stream for free.
After its theatrical release, Mufasa: The Lion King, earned over USD 650 million globally at the Box Office. The film collected Rs 129.56 crore in its Hindi-dubbed version in its first three weeks. Let’s explore the streaming details of Disney’s animated film.
Mufasa: The Lion King streaming details
According to the Screenrant report, Disney has confirmed that Mufasa: The Lion King will be released on Video-on-Demand (VOD) platforms on February 18. From April 1 onwards, the film will stream for free on Disney+Hotstar, reportedly. Since Mufasa: The Lion King is a Disney movie, it is expected to be released on online streaming giant Disney+Hotstar.
For fans who love physical copies, the film will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting April 1 on OTT. The film will be available on VOD platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango.
Mufasa: The Lion King plot
