‘Little embarrassing’: Veer Pahariya opens up about KWK 7 name drop with Sara Ali Khan

New Delhi: Actor Veer Pahariya, who made his smashing Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force, opened up about the time when his name popped up in an episode of Koffee With Karan 7. For those who don’t know, in the episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7 featuring Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, Karan mentioned the actresses dating sibling brothers, leaving many to speculate that he was hinting at Veer and Shikhar Pahariya.

During the interview with Siddharth Kannan, the 20-year-old actor shared that he had no idea about it until it was aired. He further called it a “little embarrassing.” Let’s delve into further details.

Veer Pahariya on dating rumours with Sara

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, actor Veer Pahariya opened up about his reaction to the Koffee With Karan episode featuring Sara Ali Khan, with whom he was rumoured to be dating. Sharing his feelings, the Sky Force actor said, “Mujhe idea nahi tha jab tak air nahi hua. Mujhe pata nahi tha ki yeh shoot hua hai. Jab hua mein hairaan tha kyunki bada platform hai aur mein Assistant Director tha ek movie mein. Mein toh chahta tha koi janne nahi but abhi sab janne lage hai. Thoda sa embarrassing ho gaya tha bas. (I had no idea until it aired. I didn’t know that it was shot. When it happened, I was surprised because it’s a big platform, and I was an Assistant Director in a movie. I actually wanted no one to know, but now everyone has found out. It just became a little embarrassing.)”

He further added, “Humne kuch statement diya nahi tha aur hum log bahar nahi the public mein so jo likha gaya tha wahi tha aur log ussi ko sach maanne lage. But mein zyada dost nahi rakhta hu so mujhe farak nahi padta log kya keh rahe hai. (We didn’t give any statement, and we weren’t out in public, so whatever was written is what people believed to be true. But I don’t keep many friends, so I don’t care what people are saying.)”

Veer Pahariya also revealed that he went into depression after his breakup with Sara Ali Khan and when his parents got separated. He revealed that he has been in only one relationship so far. When his parents got divorced or when he went through a breakup, he fell into depression, adding that he didn’t have confidence in himself. He further said, “When I love, I love completely. That’s why whenever a relationship of mine ends, I feel completely broken.”

During the episode, host Karan Johar said, “I am tracking back to before the pandemic. I don’t know the level of your friendship today, but I don’t remember there being any. I remember that you both have dated siblings before.” Sara and Janhvi then asked if he wanted to do it on national television.

According to reports, while Veer and Sara parted ways, Janhvi hinted at her relationship with Shikhar by wearing a necklace with the name inscribed ‘Shikhu’ during the Maidaan screening.
