Fire breaks out on Tenali Rama’s set in Mumbai Film City – what happened?

New Delhi: With many fires breaking out across the country recently, a news about a fire outbreak in Mumbai’s Film City has been making headlines. The incident took place on Sunday (March 2) on the set of Sony Sab TV’s Tenali Rama in Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, Goregaon, Mumbai. According to our sources, the fire outbreak took place on Sunday morning.

The fire brigade was contacted immediately and the incident was under control soon enough. Questions such as – Was anyone injured? Was the filming schedule gravely impacted? – arise after such an incident. Here is what we know so far.

Fire outbreak on Tenali Rama’s sets in Mumbai

Following the outbreak and its extinguishing, it was found that a part of the set was slightly damaged. But it was Sunday, no major damage to humans or property was recorded. However, the fire delayed the shooting schedule by two hours.

Tenali Rama had an immensely popular and successful runtime during its first season. Following this,  Tenali Rama Season 2 went on air in December 2024. For those unversed,  Tenali Rama is based on the life of the legendary poet Tenali Ramakrishna, one of the Ashtadiggajas at the court of Vijayanagara emperor Krishnadevaraya. He is known for his timely wit and intelligence to solve the trickiest of problems. Fans have loved the show for its incredible casting, sensible and witty dialogues, good direction and cast chemistry on-screen. The cast of this serial includes Krishna Bhardwaj, Priyamvada Kant, Maavan Gohil, Pankaj Berry and Neha Chauhan.
