Father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan spotted at exciting India-England match

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were spotted on TV attending the fifth T20I match between India and England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 2, 2025. The duo were seated at the corporate box where Abhishek was sporting the blue Indian jersey while Amitabh was in a casual white hoodie.

X, formerly known as Twitter caught Big B in awe while Abhishek looked quite worried while watching the match. The duo witnessed an incredible batting set from Team Inda as the first innings ended with a 249/9 score. The next innings will see England chase India’s score to secure their win.

Netizens spot Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan at Wankhede Stadium

Netizens successfully spotted the Bachchans at the big game and hoped that Big B’s presence would bring Team India to victory. “With Blessings of legendary Shri Amitabh Bachchan India shall win T-20I India v Eng at Wankhede Mumbai,” wrote a user on X. Fans have rejoiced at the fact that Amitabh Bachchan witnessed Abhishek Sharma’s exceptional batting display where he brought 136 runs in 54 balls, hitting 13 sixes and seven boundaries. 

Not only the Bachchans, but the match also saw attendance from Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Narayana Murthy, Mukesh Ambani, and Akash Ambani among other personalities.

This is not the first time the father-son duo have attended matches together as they remain huge fans of the sport. Overall, Abhishek Bachchan seems to be a huge sports fanatic as he is also a team owner in both Pro Kabbadi League and the Indian Super League.
