Ex-CM’s daughter accuses Vikrant Massey’s film producers of Rs 4 crore scam | Details inside

New Delhi: The makers of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan are in hot water after actress Aarushi Nishank accused them of financial fraud. The daughter of former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has filed a complaint against producers Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla, alleging that they duped her of Rs 4 crore under the pretence of casting her in the film.

According to the complaint, the producer duo approached Aarushi at her residence and pitched an investment opportunity in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor. They allegedly assured her a significant role in the film if she invested Rs 5 crore. Along with the role, they promised a 20 per cent share of the film’s profits, which they claimed would exceed Rs 15 crore.

Aarushi Nishank accuses producer couple

The actress reportedly trusted their assurances and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 9, 2024. She even transferred Rs 2 crore the very next day. By November 19, she had allegedly invested another Rs 2 crore, bringing her total investment to Rs 4 crore.

However, Aarushi claims that the producers failed to finalise a script for her role despite her investment. Days turned into weeks, and eventually, she was dropped from the project without prior notice. When she confronted them and demanded a refund, the producers allegedly informed her that another actress had already been cast in her place.

For those who do not know, the actress even took to her Instagram handle to drop the photos with the 12th Fail actor announcing her involvement in Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan. She wrote, “Thank you @pushkarsinghdhami.uk ji for gracing and blessing all of us for this new journey..Glad to be part of “Ankhon ki gustakiya “ as an actor thank you @minifilms9 for this wonderful opportunity. Excited to share screen with talented Vikrant messy and Preety shanaya kapoor.”

More details on the controversy

The allegations don’t stop there. Aarushi further accused the producers of resorting to threats and intimidation when she demanded her money back. She claims they warned her of legal action, including a defamation case and even issued death threats to silence her. Additionally, she alleged that they mocked her Garhwali heritage, subjected her to body-shaming and used derogatory language against her.

The situation has now escalated into legal proceedings. Aarushi has filed a formal complaint against Mansi and Varun Bagla charging them with fraud, criminal conspiracy, intimidation and violations under the IT Act. Meanwhile, the accused producers have yet to publicly respond to the serious allegations against them.
