Chhaava Box Office collection Day 5: Vicky Kaushal starrer continues its strong run

New Delhi: Oh boy, Chhaava is winning the hearts of cinema lovers, and how! You will be amazed to know that the historical film, produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, is roaring strong at the Box Office even on weekdays. The Vicky Kaushal starrer continued its triumphant run in theatres on Day 5.

According to Sacnilk, early estimates indicate that the much-talked-about movie raked in Rs 24.50 crore on Tuesday (February 18, 2025). If the figure turns out to be accurate, then the total collection of the flick stands at Rs 165 crore at the Box Office in India.

If we talk about global figures, the industry tracker states that the Laxman Utekar directorial has minted Rs 195.6 crore at the Box Office across the globe. It is likely to cross the prestigious Rs 200 crore mark in no time, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025.

FWICE urges tax-free status for Chhaava in Maharashtra

As per the latest updates, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has recently requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to declare Chhaava tax-free. FWICE was quoted as saying by ANI that they have appealed to the 54-year-old leader to grant tax-exempt status to the Hindi film. It added that they strongly believe the movie should reach audiences not only in Maharashtra but across the nation.

In Chhaava, the 36-year-old actor is seen acing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire. It also stars Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash and Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.

The flick is reportedly an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. While its music has been composed by Academy Award-winning AR Rahman, the lyrics are penned by critically acclaimed Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan.
