The Central Bank of India, one of the country’s leading public sector banks, has announced a refund of application fees for candidates who applied for the Safai Karamchari Cum Sub-Staff and/or Sub-Staff recruitment for the 2024-25 cycle.

The decision to refund the fees comes due to pending legal proceedings that have delayed the recruitment process.

Background of the Central Bank of India Safai Karamchari Recruitment

The Central Bank of India had earlier released a notification for the recruitment of Safai Karamchari Cum Sub-Staff and/or Sub-Staff, inviting applications in two phases. The first notification was issued on December 19, 2023, followed by another on June 6, 2024. The recruitment drive aimed to fill 484 vacancies across multiple states in India. Thousands of candidates applied for these positions, hoping to secure employment with one of the oldest and most prestigious banks in the country.

Reason for Central Bank of India Safai Karamchari Recruitment Refund

Due to legal complications and unforeseen delays in the recruitment process, the Central Bank of India has decided to refund the full application fees/intimation charges to all eligible applicants who submitted their applications and paid the required fees during both phases of recruitment. This decision ensures fairness and transparency, preventing applicants from incurring financial losses due to delays beyond their control.

Central Bank of India Safai Karamchari Recruitment Refund Process and Important Details

To facilitate the refund process, the bank has provided a dedicated online link for applicants to submit their bank details. The process includes the following key steps:

Accessing the Refund Portal – Candidates must visit the official refund link provided by the bank: https://ibpsonline.ibps.in/cbiskssnov23/.

Login Credentials Required – Applicants must log in using their registration number and password or date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY format).

Providing Bank Details – Once logged in, candidates must enter accurate bank details, including:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Bank account number
  • IFSC code
  • Bank and branch name

Verification of Details – Candidates are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided. The bank will not be held liable for incorrect submissions.

Refund Timeline – The portal for submitting refund requests will remain open from February 7, 2025, to February 22, 2025.

Refund Amount – The refund amount will be:

SC/ST/PwBD/EXSM Candidates: ₹175 (inclusive of GST)

Other Candidates: ₹850 (inclusive of GST)

Notification to Candidates – The bank will notify all applicants via SMS and email regarding the refund process and their respective registration numbers.
