Celebrity MasterChef India: Ayesha Jhulka’s undercooked food leads to SHOCKING exit

New Delhi: The competition in Celebrity MasterChef India is heating up, and so are the stakes. The February 21 episode brought a dramatic twist as wildcard contestant Ayesha Jhulka was eliminated after serving undercooked chicken—a mistake no home cook, let alone a celebrity chef-in-the-making, can afford.

The episode kicked off with contestants divided into two teams: Gaurav, Tejasswi, Rajiv, and Kabita formed one squad, while Faisu, Ayesha, Usha Nadkarni, and Dipika teamed up on the other. Their challenge? Prepare a feast for a live theatre audience. Gaurav’s team took on the bold flavours of Mexican cuisine, while Faisu’s team had the tricky task of crafting authentic Korean dishes.

Despite a valiant effort, Faisu’s team fell short, landing Ayesha, Dipika, Usha, and Faisu in the dreaded danger zone. But the real tension began in the next episode when the four had a face-off in the infamous black apron challenge which was also their last chance to redeem themselves.

Usha Nadkarni secured her spot early, leaving Ayesha, Dipika and Faisu in a final battle for survival. This time, each contestant had to work with a specific protein: Dipika was given fish, Ayesha had chicken, and Faisu had mutton. To up the ante, judges Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar threw in a surprise ingredient twist that had to be incorporated into their dishes.

Dipika impressed with her perfectly cooked fish in a Bengali-inspired sauce, while Faisu’s Rogan Josh brought the right balance of spice and richness. Ayesha, on the other hand, found herself in trouble when her chicken was deemed undercooked—one of the biggest culinary sins in the MasterChef kitchen.

Despite praise for her mustard sauce, the judges had no choice but to send Ayesha home. Her elimination follows earlier exits by Chandan Prabhakar and Abhijeet Sawant. With her gone, only eight contestants remain—Rajiv Adatia, Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Archana Gautam, Nikki Tamboli, Kabita Singh, Mr. Faisu, and Usha Nadkarni. The road to victory is getting tougher, and one mistake could mean the end of the journey.

Ayesha Jhulka, 52, was a popular face in the 90s. The actress has shared the screen s[ace with A-listers like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. Her most prominent role was in the 1992 film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar directed by Aamir’s dad Mansoor Khan. Some of her other films include Khiladi, Run, Socha Na Tha, Sangram, Waqt Humara Hai and Meherbaan to count a few.
