Amitabh Bachchan’s son-in-law Nikhil Nanda booked for abetment to suicide – Know deets

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan’s son-in-law Nikhil Nanda has been booked on charges of fraud and abetment to suicide, according to an ETV Bharat report. Along with Nikhil Nanda, several other officials of a tractor company have also been booked in the case. As per the report, the case was filed following a court order, naming Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s son-in-law, Nikhil Nanda.

Other individuals booked in the case include the tractor company’s UP head, area manager, Sales manager, Shahjahanpur dealer and three other officials. The case has been registered in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district. Let’s delve into further details!

Amitabh Bachchan’s son-in-law BOOKED

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and others have been accused of allegedly pushing a tractor agency owner, Jitendra Singh, to die by suicide. According to reports, the complaint was filed by Gyanendra, a Papad Hamzapur village resident. Gyanendra is the brother of the late Jitendra Singh who managed a tractor agency, Jai Kisan Traders, in Dataganj.

Gyanendra alleged that Shweta Bachchan’s husband, Nikhil Nanda, and other officials pressurised Jitendra to boost sales. He also alleged that Nikhil and his associates threatened him to revoke his dealership license and action his property if the sales target was not met.

As per the report, after being under immense stress, he took his life on November 22 after some company officials allegedly visited him on November 21, 2024, intensifying the pressure. Reportedly, Jitendra also shares the distress with his family members and close ones.

Earlier, Jitendra’s family filed a complaint with the police but the cops failed to take any action until the court intervened. Following the court’s directive, a case was registered against all accused. Jitendra’s father, Shiv Singh, also claimed that he was unaware of Nikhil Nanda’s connections but held the company responsible for his son’s tragic demise. Meanwhile, the investigation is underway.

Who is Nikhil Nanda?

Nikhil Nanda is the husband of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan. He is the son of Ritu Nanda, daughter of Raj Kapoor. His maternal uncles include late actor Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, and Rajiv Kapoor. His cousins are Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. Shweta and Nikhil have two children together – a son Agastya Nanda, who made his Bollywood debut with The Archies and a daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda.
