New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal’s historical action movie, Chhaava, was released in theatres on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. The film follows the story of the Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and his epic battle against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Opening with raving reviews from both critics and audiences, the film is flying high at the Box Office.
Well, nearly a week into its theatrical release, Chhaave was expected to have kept up its momentum and earned the big bucks. However, on day 4 (February 17), the film has seen a massive 50% drop in collections. Here is how Chhaava is performing at the Box Office.
Chhaava Day 4 Box Office collection
Chhaava earned a whopping Rs 116.50 crore in Nett India collections. However, on Monday (February 17), the film saw a drop of 50% when compared to the Day 3 collection which amounted to Rs 48 crore net in India. According to the industry tracker, Sacnilk, Chhaava has earned Rs 140.50 crore net in India pushing Chhaava closer to the Rs 150 crore milestone.
Chhaava’s opening day collection stood at Rs 31 crore, surpassing Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy which opened with Rs 19.40 crore. With this, Chhaava has also become one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. After Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava now stands as the third highest-earning film this year.
About Chhaava
Chhaava‘s star cast includes Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Sambhaji’s wife Maharani Yesuba and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Furthermore, actors such as Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, Neil Bhoopalam, and Vineet Kumar Singh also play key figures in the film.
For those unversed, Chhaava was initially set to release on December 6, 2025. However, the makers decided against it to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa 2, which went on to become the biggest film in Indian history. The makers then moved to February 14 as it is the closest date to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19.
