XO, Kitty Season 3 CONFIRMED! Showrunner hints at Kitty-Minho’s summer romance

New Delhi: XO, Kitty, a spin-off of Netflix’s popular franchise – To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, has fans in a chokehold. After a cliffhanger ending in Season 2, the public realised that it was not the end of Kitty’s love story. Ever since the finale episode, viewers have been waiting for Netflix to announce Season 3. Well, the day is finally here! We are officially getting XO, Kitty Season 3 and we cannot wait.

On Valentine’s Day 2025, Netflix’s official Instagram account shared a clip featuring Anna Cathcart confirming the news. Here’s the XO, Kitty Season 3 announcement and what to expect from the upcoming season.

XO, Kitty Season 3 confirmed!

The announcement clip showed Anna receiving a bouquet of red roses along with a note that read, “Roses are red. Violets are blue. There’s a third season of XO, Kitty in store for you!”. Waving a bound script for Season 3 in her hand, Anna Cathcart shrieked, “It’s official! Season 3 of XO, Kitty is in the works.”

With quite a successful Season 2, Netflix seemed to have no choice but to renew the show. According to a report by Pinkvilla, XO, Kitty Season 2 garnered 14.2 million views and 57.7 million hours of watch time solely during its premiere week in January 2025.

What to expect in XO, Kitty Season 3?

While speaking about the highly-anticipated renewal, Showrunner Jessica O’Toole expressed excitement to head back to Seoul for yet another season with the cast and crew. Hinting at more drama in the upcoming season, she promises the audience that Season 3 would be worth the wait. Moreover, she reveals that she is ecstatic about their first summer episode. “…not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure, and kissing. Lots of kissing,” said Jessica O’Toole.

The Season 2 cliffhanger shows Kitty requesting Min-ho to let her join his family for a summer tour. After realising her sexuality, will Kitty leave Min-ho behind for Yuri? Well, no. This summer tour might bring Kitty and Min-ho closer than ever. So, Kitty’s feelings for both Min-ho and Yuri might become a major plot point next season.
