New Delhi: Ed Sheeran’s India tour has been nothing short of spectacular, but it’s not just about the music. The British singer is making the most of his time offstage—this time by kicking around a football with Dhoom actor John Abraham in Shillong.

The Shape of You hitmaker, who performed in Shillong on February 12, took some time to enjoy the scenic city and squeeze in a friendly match with John Abraham. The actor’s wife Priya Runchal shared wholesome pictures from the game on Instagram. In the photos, John and Priya sport white t-shirts, while Sheeran stands out in a blue jersey, looking every bit the enthusiastic footballer.

Ed Sheeran later posted a photo carousel documenting his India trip, adding quirky captions to each memory. Sharing his moment with John, he wrote, “@thejohnabraham is an @ipswichtown fan now.” For those unfamiliar, Ipswich Town is a football club Sheeran passionately supports. Looks like John has been recruited into the fandom!

Ed Sheeran’s India tour

Sheeran’s – = / x Tour in India has been nothing short of magical. The singer kicked off his musical journey in Pune on January 30, with The Archies star Dot. opening the show. He then moved to Hyderabad on February 2, where Armaan Malik set the stage before the Perfect crooner took over. The biggest surprise, however, came in Chennai when the singer collaborated with AR Rahman for a special onstage performance. In Bengaluru, he delighted fans by singing Chuttamalle from Devara with Shilpa Rao.

The India leg of Ed Sheeran’s tour is produced and promoted by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live. The final stop? Delhi on February 15, where he will wrap up his tour with another electrifying performance.
