Comedian ‘brutally attacked’ over joke on Veer Pahariya, actor breaks silence

New Delhi: Pranit More, on Tuesday (February 5, 2025), took to Instagram with a shocking post, highlighting a harrowing incident he recently encountered. The renowned comedian claimed he was brutally attacked for cracking a joke about Bollywood debutant Veer Pahariya.

According to Pranit’s post, the assault took place in Maharashtra’s Solapur after his stand-up performance at 24K Kraft Brewzz on Sunday (February 2, 2025). While he was clicking pictures with fans, a group of 11-12 men allegedly approached him and began attacking him repeatedly with punches and kicks, leaving him injured.

The Instagram post further revealed that the leader of the group was a man named Tanveer Shaikh. Pranit stated that the attackers made it clear the assault was a punishment for his joke about Veer.

He was also warned of severe consequences if he mocked Veer again. Pranit added that the venue lacked security and, despite multiple requests, his team was being denied access to CCTV footage, which could provide crucial evidence. He also reached out to the police for help, but it turned out to be unhelpful.

Veer Pahariya apologises

The post has now gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention from netizens. The incident eventually caught Veer Pahariya’s attention and he responded to the same through an Instagram Story.

Expressing shock and sadness over what happened to Pranit, Veer clarified that he had no involvement in the assault and strongly condemned any form of violence. The Bollywood newcomer said that he has always accepted criticism with a healthy spirit and even shown love to his critics.

Veer also apologised to Pranit and his fans for the unfortunate incident. He assured them that he would personally ensure those responsible were held accountable.

On the professional front, Veer is currently promoting his recently released film Sky Force. Also starring Akshay Kumar, the movie has collected over Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.
