Nadaaniyan on Netflix: Ibrahim to make his debut with Khushi Kapoor – See first poster

New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, is all set to make his big Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Nadaaniyan. The film will not be released in theatres but will have a direct-to-OTT release on online streaming giant Netflix.

It will also mark the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam, who was previously an assistant director to Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Let’s delve into further details!

Nadaaniyan first poster out

Director-producer Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the first poster of his upcoming film, Nadaaniyan. In the poster, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor are seen romantically sitting in a green field. While Ibrahim looks dapper in a white shirt and a blue jacket, Khushi Kapoor looks gorgeous in a strapless crop top paired with denim.

Sharing the poster, Karan Johar wrote in the caption, “Every love story, has thodi si nadaan. #Nadaaniyan – Introducing Ibrahim Ali Khan & starring Khushi Kapoor! Watch Nadaaniyan, coming soon, only on Netflix.”

The official announcement about Ibrahim’s debut opposite Khushi Kapoor was finally made on February 1 after Karan Johar announced that he would be launching Saif Ali Khan’s son into Bollywood.

Nadaaniyan plot

As per the synopsis by Netflix, Nadaaniyan is an adult romance drama that “captures the magic, madness and innocence of first love”. The film revolves around Piya, who is a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi and Arjun, a middle-class boy from Noida, who falls in love and embarks on a journey of sweet messiness.

Apart from Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, the film also stars Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under the Dharmatic Entertainment banner.
